Tucked away in the hills of Lazio, Monteleone Sabino is a charming village where time seems to slow down. With its cobblestone streets, breathtaking views of the Sabine countryside, and a sense of history around every corner, it’s a place that feels both timeless and full of heart. For generations, families like ours have called this village home, weaving their lives into its streets and hills.
At the heart of Monteleone Sabino stands a centuries-old convent, built by Franciscan monks in the Middle Ages. It was once a place of quiet prayer, simple life, and the care of the surrounding land. In the 18th century, as the convent’s religious role diminished, it became part of the Cavalletti family estate, a home where history, our family, and tradition have intertwined for generations.
Next to this historic convent is the beautiful Chiesa di Santa Maria dei Colli, where we will be married. It’s a place that has long been part of our family story, and we can’t wait to celebrate our wedding surrounded by the hills, history, and love that make Monteleone Sabino so special.
We’ll be saying “Yes - I do” at the Chiesa di Santa Maria dei Colli in Monteleone Sabino, a small and very special church that has been part of our family tradition for years.
It’s a place filled with memories, love, and a quiet kind of magic - surrounded by hills, history, and heart. We couldn’t imagine beginning this new chapter anywhere else, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you.
After the ceremony, we’ll continue the celebrations at our holiday home with aperitivo, dinner, and dancing! We can’t wait to welcome you, share good food and laughter, and dance the night away together in a place that’s close to our hearts.
Comfortable and spacious parking is available next to the Monteleone cemetery, about a 4-5 minute walk from the church.
There are also several parking spots on grass, accessible via a dirt road. About a 3-4 minute walk from the church.
